Stone Creek Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Oregon City, Oregon.
Stone Creek Golf Club opened for play in June 2002. Stone Creek Golf Course was designed by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy
Located withing viewing distance of Mt. Hood, Stone Creek Golf Club is a championship length course. The generous fairways are lined with mature trees and wetland areas. The average sized greens are a challenge to putt, and there are plenty of bunkers strategically located throughout the design. The course is laid out over 165 acres of land with old-growth Douglas Firs, lakes, four wetlands, and forty-three bunkers. The front nine is more links-style while the back nine has more of a Northwest feel with tree lined fairways and elevation changes.
The number one hadicap is hole # 13, a 441 yard par 4. This hole requires a blind tee shot over a hill, you can't see the ball land. The fairway is guarded on the left by a creek about 300 yards off the tee. Assuming a 260 yard drive (yeah sure) your second shot is uphill about 185 yards to a green surrounded by large Douglas firs. Conversly, the higher handicap player may find that creek that is 300 yards off the tee coming into play on the second shot.
Stone Creek plays from 5,191 to 6,873-yards and offers four sets of tees to accommodate a variety of skill levels.

This course has excellent practice areas for driving, chipping, sand shots and putting. The course is superbly maintained, a challenging and interesting track, well drained ( a real plus in this wet climate), with a particularly friendly and helpful staff. My husband and I practice and play here frequently - well worth the 24 mile round trip.

The greens, the greens, the greens!!!!!!! Being able to play true bentgrass greens that aren't being over-run with Poa is really a treat in this area.

David Phipps, a nine-year GCSAA Class A member and Superintendent of Stone Creek was awarded the inaugural 2008 Golf Course Superintendent of the Year award by the Oregon Golf Association and one trip around this terrific layout will describe in 18 easy lessons why this award was presented to him. The greens on this course are magnificent, especially for the month of March. Amazing! The practice range is wide and enables players to warm up on grass, not mats. Stone Creek is a Clackamas County Park Facility, managed by Total Golf Management Services. Designed by Peter Jacobsen, Stone Creek makes use of the topography of the land as well as any course in the Metropolitan Portland area, yet is very easy to walk. A visitor to the area should consider it a "must play" and will very likely return again and again.

Fortunately, I moved last year and no longer need to drive across town to play this course.
